Our Luxury Lodge

Our guests fish from boats designed specifically for this lake. You will truly enjoy the size and speed of these boats while still being able to maneuver around, and between, its standing timber. For your convenience, they feature wide-casting decks large enough for two, trolling motors from Minn Kota, and Humminbird Electronics.

Itinerary

TRAVEL DAY

Fly from your home city to Mazatlan International Airport, Mexico (airport code MZT. You may, or may not, need a connecting flight before arriving Mazatlan. Please check with our airline affiliate, or yours, for your desired schedule. NOTE: On arrival day, if your package allows you to fish a few hours that day, you will need to schedule your flights to arrive Mazatlan morning or early afternoon at the latest. On the back end of your trip, if your package allows fishing on the back end of our trip, please make your flight schedule to depart after 2:30 p.m.

ARRIVAL

After you clear Customs and Immigration at Mazatlan International Airport, our bilingual Transporter will greet you at the ground transportation area. He/She will be holding signage making it easy for you to notice them. From Mazatlan, you will be taken on a very comfortable 1.45 hr. drive northeast on paved roads that are well maintained. Cold beverages will be provided during the shuttle ride to the lodge.
Upon arrival to the lodge, you will be greeted by our Staff with a warm welcome and a tray of their special margaritas! Next, you will be shown to your room where you can unpack and settle in for your stay. Your Guide will be available to help you set up your tackle. If your fishing package includes a few hours of fishing upon arrival, then you will gear up and head out for an afternoon fishing session. You will fish until dusk and then return to the lodge for cocktails and dinner. After cocktail hour, dinner is served. Depending on the season / weather conditions, dinner may be served on the veranda or in the air-conditioned dining hall.

 

YOUR FISHING DAYS

Wake-Up Call and Breakfast: Wake-up call is at around 5:00AM with coffee or other preferred beverage delivered to your room. Breakfast is served at around 5:30AM, so you should be awake, dressed and ready for breakfast by then. You will be on the water by sunrise!

Morning Fishing Session: After breakfast, gather your fishing gear and the staff will escort you to the boat launch area where the guides will be waiting to start your day of fishing. Your morning fishing session will end at around 11:00AM. Cold beverages will be available in your boat (including beer, soft drinks, bottle water and Gatorade).

Lunch / Siesta: Lunch is served at around 11:30AM. Afterwards, you can take a siesta and/or relax under a palapa. Onsite massage/salon services are available at an additional charge.

Afternoon Fishing Session: Your afternoon fishing session will begin around 1:30 PM (Fall / Winter ) and around 3:00 PM (Spring / Summer). You will fish until dusk and return to the lodge for cocktail hour.

Dinner: After returning to the lodge, enjoy a cocktail, eat dinner, and share the highlights of the day with the other guests.

DEPARTURE DAY

Breakfast will be served in the morning before your departure. You will depart the lodge in the morning with ample time for the 1 hr and 45 min drive to Mazatlan and airport check-in procedures.
If your fishing package includes your hours of fishing on departure day, then you will gear up after breakfast and head out for the morning fishing session. You will fish until 11:00AM (or earlier depending on your flight schedule.) About Lake El Salto- Mexico

Located northeast of Mazatlan at the base of the beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains, Lake El Salto has over 45 miles of shoreline. The legendary Lake El Salto is the “Big Daddy” lake for the Florida-strain, Largemouth Bass in Mexico. This lake is approximately a one hour drive from Mazatlan and well known to anglers all over the world who have fished the Mexican lakes (a lot of them are celebrity or pro-circuit fishermen). The fishing is ON at Lake El Salto with hard-hitting, quality Bass, and the tilapia in Lake El Salto is managed and controlled for growth of its bass. BASSMASTER magazine has called Lake El Salto the “very best trophy bass lake in the world”.

Don’t forget to bring your camera, because make no mistake about it, these Guides enjoy showing off in a photo with your big fish in hand! We practice a Catch-and-Release program, and our Guides take good care in showing beginners the best and most effective way to handle and release them back into the water after a great photo shot!
