“Doc” SegebarthTRIP WEEK: “I thoroughly enjoyed my week at The River Lodge. It was like fishing in an “Aquarium”! The Guide staff were over the top from meeting us at the plane to our return. Everyone was always most pleasant and helpful. Although I had been there before, this was my first stay at the New Lodge. The accommodations, both there and the Trout Lodge, were beyond expectations. The cabins were so comfortable, but we were only there to sleep and refresh for another day’s fishing. I could have stayed there longer. The fishing was great, and I learned a great deal about the types of salmon and their spawn. It will remain on my “places to return” list. Thank you, Pam, for all your help. ~ “Doc” Segebarth” |

Greg ThompsonYACHT TRIP WEEK: OCTOBER 4 – 11, 2013 I would like to thank Pamelah of Amazon River Adventures, the wonderful staff and knowledgeable Guides of the Amazon Santana for a wonderful trip. In over thirty weeks in the Amazon fishing, I can honestly say this is one of the best, well-organized trips I have ever been on. Thanks for making Bobby Bash 2013 a huge success and a lasting memory!!! |

Dr. Fritz RohrkasteYACHT TRIP WEEK: NOVEMBER 30 – DECEMBER 8, 2012 “I wanted to thank Amazon River Adventures for an exciting Amazon Peacock Bass fishing trip. The fishing was exciting and the staff on the Amazon Santana was first class all the way. Having been Peacock Bass fishing on numerous occasions and with many Outfitters, I can say the Guides on the Amazon Santana have no peers when it comes to knowledge and dedication to getting you the Trophy of a Lifetime.“ |
Jason FeyhYACHT TRIP WEEK: NOVEMBER 30 – DECEMBER 8, 2012 “My trip with Amazon River Adventures was a terrific week fun and gourmet food. Even though the fishing was a bit slower than normal this time of year, I did manager to land a 14 lb’er. I even caught two speckled Peacocks on one Woodchopper! I really appreciated the free use of top of the line fishing gear. It’s nice not to have to lug fishing gear through the airports. The Guides are some of the most knowledgeable and safest ones on the river. The crew was outstanding, having true daily laundry service and working hard to help me locate my lost carry-on bags. They were also kind enough to give me a T-shirt and hat because all my clothes were in my carry-on bags. The housekeeping staff arranged for my shorts and T-shirt to be picked up at bedtime returning them each morning at wake-up knock. I was able to survive the entire week with only having the clothes on my back. I‘m looking forward to setting up my next fishing adventure with this fine outfitter at one of the Safari shows in Dallas or Reno.“ |

Kevin Martin, President. Martin Travel ServicesYACHT TRIP WEEK: NOVEMBER 30 – DECEMBER 8, 2012 “AMAZON RIVER ADVENTURES ~ The name says it all! For those who are looking to land a big one in the Amazon there is only one choice. My trip was flawless from start to finish. We were met in Manaus by the local representative “Paula”, who arranged a luxury shuttle (along with luggage) to the local airport for the hour charter flight to Barcelos. We were then transferred to the Mother Ship, “Amazon Santana”, where we were greeted by the friendly staff.I was amazed how organized it all was, right down to the orientation meeting, and before I knew it, I was on the Amazon River fishing! The Guides were amazing! It’s like they have an internal GPS for finding fish. They know the river systems and take care of you right down to pre-ordered refreshments and shore lunches. They Guides trained me on how to “tune” into the river and how to look for signs of Peacock Bass.I caught a 16 pounder and WOW what a fight! They carry a camera to record your catch too! You know what was really great?Your Guide was at your disposal to fish whenever you wanted! Even at night to catch the Monster Catfish. As far as the food and drink goes…..well it’s the Ritz Carlton on the Amazon! They even had dinner on a sandbar complete with candle light and BBQ buffet. There was one thing I found negative about the trip, however, and that was “leaving”.When the trip was over we went back to Manaus for our flights home, again without a hitch! I had such a great time and can’t wait to go back!“ |

Mike LeechYACHT TRIP WEEK: NOVEMBER 30 – DECEMBER 8, 2012 Mr. Mike Leech, “Honoree, IGFA Fishing Hall Of Fame” has this to say about his recent visit to the Amazon with us: “Every angler needs to have a Brazilian Peacock Bass trip on their “Bucket List”. I have been fortunate to have been there several times. My most recent trip was with Amazon River Adventures aboard the Amazon Santana. It is, without a doubt, the most comfortable of all the river boats, (the Santana is more of a yacht than a river boat) departing from Barcelos. The Guides are amazing in their knowledge of the area, the crew bends over backwards to see that all our needs are met, the special theme dinners are over the top, and the overall organization is exceptional. Move this adventure to the top of your list!“ |
